The TRUTH about Hair Transplants | Man for himself Article

The need for accurate honest information and guidance has never been so important for the perspective hair transplant patient. I'm fortunate to be able to assist get resources to many via a number of very popular platforms to help patients get informed and educated. Given the increasing numbers researching this space it's important to help guide patients in a safe direction given the plethora of 'clinics' claiming to be the best in light of the looming price war that lies ahead.

A hair transplant is not easy, it’s not cheap and it can be very confusing. But if you seek out and pay a reputable surgeon, and do your research, the results can exceed your expectations.

    Great article, thanks Spex.

I finds it quite curious that only 1 of the 5 greatest FUE doctors in the world (in my opinion) are not on the list or members. Feriduni at least is there but missing are:

    Dr. Couto (FUEXPERT, Madrid)
    Dr. Freitas (Valencia)
    Dr. Lorenzo (Madrid)
    Dr. Kesser (Ankara)

I have had procedures with 3 of these guys. Out of this world survival rates and service.

Also a little shocked that a few sub-par surgeons are on there. 2 of them who have directly butchered several patient's donor areas with FUE.

      Thanks for you comment.

I’ve no idea why the Drs you mention are not accepted members of the IAHRS, possibly not applied to the organisation or might be other reasons.

Out of interest - Why did you go to 3 different surgeons if all results were excellent ?

I have gone to 8 different surgeons.

Lupanzula, Kesser, Mwamba, Couto, Vila, Feriduni, Ozgur and Chueco.

        Keser 3 times
        Lupanzula and Mwamba twice.
        The rest once.

        All excellent surgeons but one.

How did you find Lupanzula (in terms of skill, price, service)? I was looking at having surgery with him but felt a bit nervous that his UK gig didn't work out.

That said I haven't even started Fin yet not sure why as I been meaning to do this 10 years ago. So I've lost 10 years worth of hair I can't get back (or so I understand. )

              Crikey. The main man himself.

Now there's no tone on the internet. So I don't know if your message was in rage. But in any case I'm referring to this interview:

              2:55 to 3:05

He says it didn't work out.

I'm not trying to throw shade. In fact I want this dude to be my hair saviour based on your glowing recommendation (I've been watching your content for a long time but not acting on stopping my hair loss for some reason... Who knows why).

So maybe it's got lost in translation but I just would have preferred him to expand on that. Might be that Scotland is too cold. Or maybe something else.

If you're able to clarify that would be great. Being based in the UK or seems like there's only him and the one in Switzerland that a satisfactory options.

LOL! Hardly any rage. I was just wondering what that meant. If you revisit the video, he's saying "but things were not so well as I wanted" regarding his tenure in Scotland. If I recall, he wasn't satisfied with the conditions of the particular clinic. I don't believe there was anything to be "nervous" about. He just decided to dedicate his attention full time to his own clinic in Belgium based on conditions at the Scottish clinic. At this point, however, it's ancient history (relatively speaking) as it was, I believe, about eight to ten years ago.

                  Thanks Joe.

Until your content I was heading for Harley Street with the classic British attitude of " were the best at everything". So it was eye-opening to see you be open about some of the skills (or lack or).

Anyway. Don't want to derail this post. So l'll write a new one. Hopefully I can get some insight into saving my disappearing crown (think Friar Tuck) and increasing forehead (think Klingon).

You were talking about Doctors. One of the replies mentioned one. I commented on that. So pretty much in line with the thread.

Derailing the thread would have been by me carrying about UK hair clinics specifically.

So I think I'm alright here.
