Finasteride and donating blood/plasma. damn.
Soooo.... I was going to start selling my blood plasma for 80 dollars a week since I'm a student and a little extra coin is always welcome, buuuut according to the interwebs it turns out finasteride is on that surprisingly short list of drugs you can't be taking if you want to donate blood. Apparently this is because a pregnant woman might get the plasma, thus possibly deforming her fetal child. Bummer.
hair vs. money, I guess I made that choice long ago.
just thought I'd post about this so people can make responsible choices about blood donation and the like.

Thanks. You have made a good point. I will make sure to remind patients that patients taking Finasteride are not allowed to donate blood.
