Efficacy of topical Minoxidil on the frontal region

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum. I have been using topical Minoxidil alongside oral finasteride (1mg) for the past three months. My hair loss has completely stopped now. Recently, I started microneedling procedure with 1.5 mm dermaroller. It's only been three weeks. I am getting positive result so far.
My crown area has noticably thickened. But I am not seeing much improvement on the frontal region. Is Minoxidil effective only on crown area?
I can see small hair and black dots growing on my frontal region after each microneedling procedure but majority of them don't survive and shed. In contrast, my crown region is slowly getting darker. Enlighten me!
