Default Age 41, Should I jump on Finasteride or is too late? See pics.

I'm about a NW2 or NW3. Age 41, I've been slowly receding since age 16-17 and I've come to the point now where I don't want to lose anymore. I have no thinning in the crown, but my temples are bad.

I have 90 pills of Finasteride from Keeps on my counter top and have not taken them yet. I've been reading a bit about side effects and it's pretty scary, but then I've watched some videos from medical professionals on Youtube where they state that side effects are rare.

Based on what you see in my pics, and me being old, is it worth the fight? I always wanted a hair transplant, but I know that requires Fin. Advice and thoughts appreciated.

Well it is not too late and your results can vary as to the effectiveness of finasteride. I would recommend never starting this stuff though. I really think the side-effect profile of this drug has been underplayed by many including medical professionals. You have the pills on your counter but you have not taken them yet. Why? The same reason why you came here to post. Because your intuition is telling you differently and not to do it. You really should listen to your intuition because I am telling you the road of this drug has a lot of possible consequences and side effects from sexual to your overall mood and body as well. At your age your testosterone is already starting to fade and this will put the brakes on it entirely possibly. I would say try the minox and look into that transplant but say NO to the drugs. I quit my finasteride years ago and I only have 2 regrets 1) That I ever started and 2) That I did not quit sooner. Both are 2 of the top 10 biggest regrets of my life. You can do what you want but that would be my advice to you and I have no agenda at all. Take care.
