Unhappy What can I do to try and combat this, i'm too young to lose my hair

My balding came to my attention like 7 months ago, but it didn't become serious until 5 months ago, I have not been able to get in contact with a dermatologist. I really need help on how to combat this until I can go to a dermatologist. My scalp gets super greasy and my scalp is super visible when I don't wash my hair with shampoo for a day, does anyone know what causes this?

Hi, you are thinning in your mid scalp and it looks very much like a natural balding pattern.

You could first try the big 3, Finasteride 1mg, Minoxidil 5mg and Nizoral shampoo 2-3 times a week. The Finasteride will help your thinning hairs recover and help delay any future loss. The Minoxidil will help increase blood flow to your scalp and the Nizoral will help with your greasy hair amongst other things.

Speak to your family doctor, you will need a prescription for Finasteride and you will need to understand any possible risks.

Give the meds at least 6 months and then reassess your options. If the scalp does not improve you may be a candidate for hair surgery depending on your age, medical history and the quality of your donor area.

    All the best.
