Is it possible to not go bald if you have hairloss in your family?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I'm trying to pay my way through college, which doesn't leave me any money to play around with so I think I'll have to hold off on the meds for a while, unfortunately. My maternal grandfather is the person I take after most in my family and he had deep set temples in his late teens but never went bald. My hopes of taking after him will have to keep my mind at ease until I can start on meds, heh.

The meds are not that expensive. Get generic proscar and cut the tablets in quarters. I wish I had started 10 years ago.
