    Consultation yesterday...

Went to my usefully local hair clinic yesterday, in the East Midlands, UK, had a short chat and consultation.

I’m a Norwood 5 to 6 but with a good thick donor site. Doc recommended a combination of FUT and FUE but only needing around 2000-2500 grafts.

Surprised me as if I was a Norwood 6 at worst, would a mere 2500 grafts really cut the mustard. I see some of you have had 3000, 4000 grafts. I’m seeking a female hairline too at the front. Also pushed PRP as a big benefit.

    Was quoted £4500.

    What’s your thinking?

A few things of interest/concern here.

    Alarm bells here!

Local East Midlands hair clinic, please be careful. It would be a mistake to select a clinic due to it being your nearest option.

Combination of FUT and FUE to achieve only 2000 - 2500 grafts makes no sense unless you have had previous surgery or this is some other unique factor/s.

NW 5/6 would need double this, possibly more with a conservative hairline approach. You are looking for a female hairline?

I thought I’d find someone local to have a chat with first, as an initial point of view, though I did think both FUT and FUE were unusual with so few grafts. Wasn’t expecting such a high cost, with that number of grafts in mind.

Am seeking a female hairline as I’m transitioning gender. ;-)
