Itchy scalp caused by calcium?

Got an itchy scalp, had it for a few years, originally I was told to cut out dairy, as dairy is an irritant. This helped, but I was concerned that I wasn’t getting enough calcium so I got a calcium supplement, took 2 500mg pills which lead to the itchiest scalp ever. Tried a few times, each time the same. I then moved on to vegan milk, fortified with calcium, this also has lead to an itchy scalp, less severe but it’s less calcium, about 350mg.

Is there a solution here? I can avoid calcium and enjoy an itch free life, although probably end up with osteoporosis, or...endure itchy scalp indefinitely.
