Default 31 years old. How am I looking?

    hi everyone,

Was wondering if someone could please give their opinion on my hair.

I'm 31, have been conscious of my hairline since I was about 15 despite showing virtually no hairloss at all at that age!

At 29 I went on fin (1mg daily) even though I probably didn't really need to at that stage - i guess it was precautionary because I'm quite paranoid about losing my hair. I stopped about 6 months ago because of sexual sides and in the last 6 months my hairline has dropped back to where it is now - the major difference being the development of quite a pronounced u shape and the first 1/2 cm of the u is thinner. I'm aware that this is just 2 years worth of hairloss catching up with me.

I guess what I want to know is could my hair stay as it is now for a while longer or does it look like it's on a downward spiral? Is there anything I can do if I get sides from fin and don't want the hassle of minoxidil? I use regenepure DR shampoo and saw palmetto but aware that those aren't going to make a huge difference.

Are there good dermatologists/trichologists that you can speak to about this stuff and really get it? I'm conscious that most of the places out there just try and get you straight on fin which I think is really irresponsible.

Try reducing your dose of fin and start minoxidil - so just use it in the evenings and take a tablet every other day (or half every day if you have a sharp knife/scalpel). Otherwise... watch this go back into the great beyond!

Man your hair line is looking strong! I am losing the crown and minoxidil is working well, I would ditch the fin

As pointed out above, you could just try reducing the Fim dosage and frequency of use, this works for many guys in alleviating any side effects.

If not then you will continue to recede at your normal pace which judging by your hair is at a snails pace.

You could also just have a small procedure of about 800-1000 grafts to strengthen your temple areas if they are bothering you that much.

At 31, you are holding out real well.
