Default Looking for HT surgeon in NY

Hi everyone, just joined this evening and am looking for some advice. I've decided that I am going forward with recieving a HT and I am in the process of finding the right surgeon. I like the work of Dr. Wesley and booked an appointment for a consult with him in March, as he is pretty backed up. If anyone is familiar with his work and the work of other surgeons in my area and can provide any insight or recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Thank you for getting back to me. Im putting a great deal of stock into this forum for information. If you dont mind, did you meet with any other surgeons? I heard True and Dorin were very exensive and overspending is one of my factors. Lastly, can anyome tell me if they were able to drive themselves home after the surgery? I was thinking I could do so. Just looking for some guidance. Thank you.

Had consultations with F and B and a rep with H and W and Dr Dorin, yeah T and D are on the expensive side, and yeah they asked that you do not drive after surgery

Thank you, just scheduled a consult with Dr. Dorin in 2 weeks. Im surprised how I was able to get one so quickly. Also, pardon my ignorance but I have no idea who F and B and H and W are.

Would you able to drive home if you had to? And what made you chose Dorin over other surgeons?

Once a surgeon is in the top 10 or so in their field and in their state/country, then going to any of them will get you very good results probably, so since T and D are way up there with decades or experience,
I didn't feel the need to travel far and keep searching for other top 10 surgeons,

so living in the same city also guided my decision to choose them, as I can get there in 20 minutes if any issues should arise,

it is good peace of mind to be so close to your doctor, that you can visit them easily and quickly, and it was nice that I can go there and get my sutures out and go for a few cleanings after the surgery with the techs,
