Does anyone see much growth 6 months post FUE?

I recently had FUE (1200 grafts to restore the hairline) with a well respected surgeon, and I'm now 6 months post op.

I'm relatively happy so far, however one side is very sparse and looks slightly pluggy. I was just wondering, did anyone who's had FUE notice any growth post the 6 month point or am I likely looking at the final result?

I know 6 months is technically only the halfway stage, however most of the results I've seen online seem to achieve full density by the 6 month stage. Or close to full density. I haven't seen anyone looking sparse at 6 months and then experience a growth spurt during the 7th/8th/9th month etc.

I just hit the 6 month mark and I’m a little discouraged. I met my surgeon today for a follow up and he said he “wasn’t satisfied”. He did re assure me that it is growing but he would like to fill it in a little more (which again, has me discouraged). He mentioned some of the incisions he made did not sprout yet. I get it, everyone grows at a different rate. I feel like I see little tiny baby hairs coming in but I also feel it it should be thicker at the 6 month point as well. I’m goin to give it another 3 months to see if it was a failure or not. So to your question, we may be on the same page but you may be having better results at this point. Good luck with yours and I hope it works out!

I'm sorry to hear that, RMS. However, if you're seeing little tiny baby hairs that's surely a good sign, as it means new hairs are still continuing to come through. I can't see any new hairs appearing, which makes me think all of my hairs have already come through. Good luck and hopefully it works out for both of us.
