Clinic have said they will transplant into forelock and bridge but not into temples
I had a consultation at a reputable clinic and they have suggested a hair transplant of 1,500 grafts using FUE technique. I have a deep M shape hairline. It has receded about 2 inches either side of the central forelock.
They have said that they will transplant 1200 grafts to create a new forelock and a further 300 to extend the forelock in to the bridge. They have said that the new hairline and forelock that will be broad as my present hairline has narrowed. The transplant will reduce the size of my forehead.
My query is that they have said that they will not transplant any hair into my temples. The reason being that my temples could recede further and this would look unnatural. Is this common practise? Will I still get a good result from what they are suggesting? I use Rogaine and this has slowed down my hair loss considerably.

I don't think it's a bad play to be honest. Most the time receding hair looks like shit because the forelock is thinned out too. I think that focusing on the forelock at front gives you a good foundation where you can look good, while also monitoring your loss and addressing temples later if you want.
