Taking Finasteride after a 2 year break, now i have chest pains.

Hey everyone, my name is Alan and am glad to be part of this forum.

I was diagnosed with androgenic hairloss in my early 20's, i went trough a finasteride + minoxidil treatment for years having fantastic results until 2 years ago when i took a break.

I begin to notice my hair thinning again, so i resumed my finasteride course (5mg) (i break the pill into 4 pieces and take ona piece each day), but now after 2 months of use i noticed some issues with my chest.

Primarily itchy nipples and tenderness along with pain in some areas somewhere near the nipples, so i see them as chest pains. It's also not consistent, one day one nipple can be itchy, the next day could be both, no itchinness at all, or pain in either one.

So should i stop using finasteride? I've read this could be a rare side effect, and after years of using it it's the first time i experience something like this. But if this is dangerous as i'm concerned there's suppousedly a chance of developing breast cancer, i'm willing to stop using it forever.

Sounds like higher Estradiol plain and simple. Same thing seen with people that take anabolics and convert more test to estrogen. Yeah it's not good for long term health. Even though you took it before doesn't mean you won't have a problem now since you have rising E2 levels once you restarted. The body is a funny thing.
