Number of hairs in grafts

Hi!

When performing an FUE, can the surgant see how many hairs each of the grafts have before the grafts are extracted?

For instance, can the surgant leave the 1 haired grafts, and instead focus on extraction of the 2 and 3 haired grafts?

Hi Peter,

Any surgeon of note and his/her team will use magnifiers to help identify single and multi hair grafts.

Single hair grafts are used mostly in the first few rows of the hairline and multi hair grafts are used elsewhere on the scalp.

Therefore if your hairline is not of concern your surgeon should target multi hair grafts using the FUE technique.
