Hair systems
Hello everyone
I'm new here and the reason for me registering is to hopefully get some really good advice on who to use for a hair system
I'm in my 30s and bald ISH thinner on top and back of head since my 20s
This is all new to me and i looked at a company called total cover plus
Very expensive though and I want to know if anybody can recommend a company to me for me to get my very first hair system and if it's possible for me to clean and stick back on myself saving me money of having to keep going back and spending hundreds of pounds for hairdresser to do it for me
Thanks and any advice is very much appreciated

Welcome houndog.
Everything you ask is very possible and with the right support its not too difficult.
TCP cater for the "lazy" or unconfident wearer and you pay extra for that. Also these salons wont educate the wearer as you would get from DIY. Also their pieces are generally off the rack and do not produce the best results versus custom made.
DIY or custom is a steep learning curve, but generally cheaper, more informative and ultimately better quality. The key is finding a good supplier to help you through.
I have been wearing almost a decade and tried many different suppliers in the USA and UK.
I pay £360-375 including the cut in for a custom piece every 9-months.
For the last few years my supplier has been:

Hi Grincher
Wow stunning price and it lasts 9months
I thought I would be paying that every 8-14wks
I shall take a look at the website you provided. Thankyou
Do you pay for it to be cut ect and then you look after it yourself for the next 9 months and then pay for a new system?
-
That's right. I get it cut in professionally and then look after it. At first, its daunting, but after a few weeks its much easier.

Does the website you provided just issue you a hair system or do they cut and fit it for you?
-
They have affiliate salons to cut in. I use a London one. There are others but its best you let them know and they may have one close to you

Thanks for the info Grincher!
I went to this hairstylist in Harlem, New York for a hair replacement unit and it came out great! Been bald since my early 20's and it feels great to have my confidence back. I am going to recommend that he look into your supplier.

A hair system provides a secure attachment of hair to an implant or prosthesis and is necessary for any hair restoration. A hair system can be used to attach hair to the neck, head, arm, forearm, hand, chest, back, breast, abdomen, leg, foot, or any other area where prosthesis or implants may be placed. This allows you to feel and look like your healthy self! Our hair systems are all designed for easy attachment and placement. We have found that some methods work best for hair extension while others work best for natural-looking hair, BGLAM Hair studio can assist with determining the best strategy for your project and help you choose from a variety of hair systems available.
