Just posting quick update at 6 months. Pleased with the growth now coming in at this point which is improving all the time and having some good coverage now in the transplanted areas. Which is now making a significant cosmetic difference.

Looking forward to seeing these hairs continue to mature and thicken in coming months.

The temple work is coming along and is making the styling of my hair now more symmetrical and easy to style.

One point I’d like to see improve is the crown whirl circle which still draws the eye as a small ‘bare circle’. Am aware the whirl will be normally a thinner area.

The good news is I can see immature hairs in there so hopefully with these thickening up it will lead to more coverage in the crown whirl area in coming months.

Overall happy at this point with the progress at this still relatively early point and looking forward to things continuing to thicken up over coming months .

    Thanks for the update Rodgers09.
It's starting to thicken up nicely now and I expect this to continue right up until the 15-month point with the crown being notoriously slower than other areas.
I look forward to the upcoming updates.

Just touching in with a little update. Hope everyone is keeping well in these troubles times.

For those that had a hair transplant in late Feb / early march I guess you can’t believe your luck spending an enforced down time in lockdown with everyone else ! As long as you kept healthy and in work that is.

Just a few pics taken from around 7 to 8 month mark which I am out now. Thrilled with the growth coming in which is growing and maturing very nicely.

The hair has come in everywhere that was planted. The crown whirl is improving too as the single hairs planted there are maturing, gaining colour and thickening. Once that matures and fills in a little I wouldn’t have asked for anymore.

The hair planted in the temple area has blended perfectly with my other hair having been courser and darker initially.

So looking forward to some more maturation over coming months up to 12-15 month mark and will keep updated

Couple more in different lighting. Spot light and softer light.

As said there’s a fair amount of single hairs in the whirl area the phone camera struggles to pick up but still maturing and gaining texture , thickness and calibre .

Little more maturing there hopefully and that’s the job done

Kudos to Dr L and his team. Seriously professional outfit and can highly recommend.
Was a night and day experience compared to my previous surgeries.

Thanks for the update Rodgers09. The whorl is really taking shape now with the angulation and direction looking spot on. I expect more regrowth and thickening over the coming months with the vertex being notoriously slower than other areas. Looking forward to the next update!

Has there been an update from the patient? I am considering Dr Lupanzula and would like to see objective end results posted by patients

Hi. Quick update I am now at almost exactly 10 months out.

Hair is growing out longer and not had a hair cut in over 3 months.

Seeing some subtle improvements in the hair maturation growing out since last update. The temple region worked on was relatively minor and grew in early so not expecting much changes there.

Significant growth everywhere planted. I would still like to see the crown whorl area improve and hoping there is time for it thicken and a bit and provide a bit more coverage.
    It looks vastly
Improved when the hair is styled in place. However it can look a little bare in the whirl circle area if hair not styled to cover the crown circle. As you can see in the pic below when hair is naturally laying in natural direction

Theres singles hair in the whirl area as per close up.

Hopefully as crown area Can take up to 15 -18 months to mature fully there will be some further thickening and coverage to come with these hairs and thickening in the crown whirl area.
