Unhappy Balding at 22 at the crown, want to start finasteride but worried about side effects

Hi everyone, So as you can tell from the title I am 22 and I have noticed my crown balding and thinning over the past few months. I want to start fin to help control this and maybe salvage my hair but got worried about the sexual side effects, not being able to have kids and also a person on reddit talked about since I am only 22 it can affect my puberty and hormones and brain function. Does anyone have any advice? And for christ sake do not just say shave it off, Thanks!

You're not at the stage where you need to shave anything. I had sexual side effects eg. sometimes had difficulty having erections. However that went back to normal when I stopped using propecia. I've never heard of anything when it comes to not being able to have kids, however everyone experiences medications differently. I'd suggest switching to rogaine if you're worried about sexual side effects and not being able to have kids. Rogaine has it's share of side effects also, but it's topical so it's less invasive on your organs than propecia.
