Half Dose Propecia Question

I am taking Propecia in the reccomended dose, 1mg a day. I am experiencing the negative sexual side effect. I do beleive Propecia is an effective solution to slowing hair loss and would like to continnue with it. Does anyone have experience with taking a .5mg dose? Will this curb the negatice side effect and still bloct DHT?
