    Planning on getting a HT

    Hello everyone!
I just recently signed up, but I've been following this forum for quite some time now. I have been losing hair for a few years now, maturing you could say: my hairline receded, lost some density, nothing too scary, but I don't want settle and I am going for a hair transplant.
I'm 23, barely NW2, I just want to lower my hairline and get some more density on the front. I contacted Erdogan, Doganay, Civas and HLC. While Erdogan and Civas said they wouldn't do it, Doganay and HLC said 2000 grafts at most, which I think is great in order to achieve density.
Here are some pictures where you can see what I'm talking about.
I was thinking on going for the unshaven FUE: I don't feel like giving explanations to anyone.
    Please share your thoughts.

I'm not taking anything at the moment, but I will consult a dermatologist after I get my HT, to see if I should/could take minoxidil or finasteride.

Please don't reply if you're going to say that I should wait, that I'm too young or that it's not worth it: I made up my mind after years of following the topic and I plan on taking care of my hair properly in the future (not that I'm not doing it now) so I don't need another HT.

Sorry, but if you don't want full honesty and openness for all answers, don't ask for opinions. Yes, you're too young, and "I just want to lower my hairline and get some more density on the front" isn't as simple as your statement. What happens if...

    1. You have poor growth?
    2. The hairline is full of multi-hair grafts?
    3. The angles are all wrong?
    4. It just generally doesn't look natural?
    5. You experience permanent shock loss?
    6. You experience accelerated loss behind the transplant?

Waiting until AFTER you have a hair transplant, as part of your "plan", to see a derm and talk about finasteride? That's like saying you'll wait to see a dentist to talk about fluoride and flossing AFTER you have your buddy rip out your rotten tooth with some string and a doorknob. You're going backward, as seeing your derm and learning about medication is something you can do far sooner than you can have a surgery. What if...

    1. You get bad side effects from medication and you continue to lose hair?
    2. Medication just doesn't work?

Everything about your approach and your situation is just a bad idea and represents a big middle finger to common sense.

The risks of the surgery outweigh the rewards in your case. Age 23 and having a transplant is almost always a no except in special circumstances.
