    Is this Retrograde Alopecia?

    Hello,

This is my first post but i have been a long time lurker.

First time i noticed something was not right with my hair was two and a half years ago. I have been taking finasteride non stop for 2 years, tried minox and gave up for 3-4 months and am also using a shampoo given to me by a dermatologist.

All this time i thought i had a case of diffuse alopecia with temple recession BUT recently i realised i have also been abnormally thin at the sides (pics bellow). The grey t-shirt picture is from 2017, the two were similar yesterday. It's definitely very thin on the top as you can see from one of them from 2018, but if you pay attention to the others that thinness is smooth all over. The back is 100% fine which made me believe i don't have DUPA. Since discovering the existence of Retrograde Alopecia i am afraid that's what it is.

I have consulted 3 doctors (2 online, 1 in person) for a transplant plus that dermatologist that i was talking about, and none ever mentioned it.

10 days ago i got bloodwork done and results are all ok (iron, thyroid etc) excel vitamins D and B12 and follic acid which are low. I have started getting supplements for them.

Anyone have any idea??? I would super appreciate the input guys.

It just looks like MPB to me. Retrograde Alopecia leaves defined patchy bald spots and i don't see that. Supplements are a waste of money and measuring vitamin D is controversial so just eat right. What shampoo did he give you?

Aren't the sides unduly see-through? i always had not-the-thickest hair but not that much. I mean, the only reason the top seems more thinned than the sides when im looking straight is because of the direction of the hair (top goes up so looks bad, sides go down so better) and the lighting. Objectively i think density sucks equally at the top as at the sides(?)

Thank you, well i will be taking them for 2 months while i'm also fixing the diet. For the past 2 years because of hardcore studying i have also been too much inside. Dermatologist gave me the DUCRAY anaphase+, but for 10 days now i've been using the Neo-Egmol (ketoconazole 2%) because i had an inflation of seborrheic dermatitis.

Use nizoral 3 times a week...no prescription needed.
It doesn't look bad just thin.
