Half Life Dutasteride

Maybe somebody with some knowledge of medication can help me.

I found out on google that it should take 5 half life’s of a single dose of medication for it to be about eliminated from your body. But I’ve been taking .5 of Avodart everyday for 8 months. Does that mean it’s going to take much longer for the drug to wear off becaus I’ve been consuming a dose everyday? I really could use some help with this knowledge.
