    Default Finasteride & Successful Pregnancy

    Hi,

    I'm a 22 year old on a NW 1.5/2.

I started taking fin 3 months ago and have noticed no side effects. Hair has stayed largely the same with some thickening potentially.

I am seriously considering stopping fin despite this, as I am concerned it may have a large effect on my ability to father a child in the next 5-10 years. I am planning on going for a sperm analysis soon to see how things stand.

My question is - is there anyone in this forum who has successfully fathered a child after prolonged use of finasteride? What have experiences been like with attempting pregnancy generally?

    Cheers

Funny you should ask, I've been meaning to post about this.

I'm a 28 nearly 29 year old male, been on fin for over 18 months now, got my partner preggers back in April, so seems fine in that department.

Personally, I have noticed a slight lowering of my libido, but it's probably more so I'm just not 18 anymore and am just less desperate for sex compared to my younger years. Boners are all good.

But to answer your question, yes, it is possible.

    Hello,

I've been on Fin for years now and thinking of having a baby with my wife. How did the pregnancy turn out, and how is your child now?

My doctor says there is absolutely no risk at all, but you can never be to sure. Hoping you can provide some insight into this now that it's been about a year. thanks.

Is Self-Therapy Effective and Can You Use It? Without having to have professional training or accreditation, self-therapy is unquestionably something you can perform on your own to treat depression or anxiety. In line with Outpatient Therapy at Home In fact, it might be a more sensible and cost-effective choice in cases that aren't as critical.
