Discontinuing Fin while starting Dut

I am going to begin Dutasteride in the next day or two, should I discontinue my 2.5mg daily use of FIN or should I use both just in case it may be stronger.

it would be cheaper for me to discontinue finasteride but of course I don't mind paying a little more to keep more hair!

I recently read somewhere the fin is better at blocking certain type of DHT better than DUT so it would be better to take both. but who knows if that's true.

There's no point in taking both 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors together. Dutasteride does everything Finasteride does plus more. If you're taking both and responding finely, might as well drop Propecia and continue with taking Avodart, again no point in taking both. Dutasteride is a more effective at treating Male Pattern Baldness than Finasteride, not by a huge amount, though it is a little better. Most men will do good on Propecia, so switching to or taking Avodart usually won't be needed.
