Thank you for sharing your great results!

I've been also thinking about doing a hair transplant and dr. Maras caught my attention. My other options are dr. Lupanzula and a not so popular surgeon from Serbia, dr. Balkovic.

May I ask you what was the waiting list for dr. Maras and how much did you pay for this procedure?

You're welcome Jaxson and thank you for the compliment. I contacted George and HDC on the 13th of November and very soon after my procedure was booked for around the 20th of January so the wait was approximately two months.

I believe the price was in the region of 6,500 British pounds or so although every case will be different. The nice thing was that even though i got an extra 69 grafts, the clinic didn't charge me for them. Im not sure they do this all the time but it was a nice gesture in any case.

I would strongly recommend Dr Maras because i know the difficulty in choosing a surgeon. it took me months of research and it can feel like russian roulette, but the clinic actually cares about your future long term, and its not just about taking your money and sending you out the door. The moment you message HDC and talk to George you'll know you're in safe hands.

If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask and best of luck.

Here is a 5.5 month update.

I thought I'd show the progress of the hairline over time since the surgery, taken in the exact same lighting and angle. You can notice in the first picture that I had some shock loss on the right side of my head where some of the grafts were taken. However, this quickly returned back to normal as shown by the latest update.

Update. Ive not reached the six month mark yet but am uploading a couple of pictures. These pictures were taken by a window under harsh natural daylight. I am currently shaving my sides down to a 1 guard and there is very little evidence of the surgery at this length.

There seems to have been further thickening of the front the past few days. I will update again in future.

six month update. Very happy with the front at this point. The first picture is a close up of the hairline taken in very bright light. The second picture is taken inside when the hair has not been styled.

I'm looking into my next procedure to fix the back/crown. I'm not wanting to go over 1,500 grafts for that however as I do not wish to use up all my donor grafts. You cant be too careful or safe when it comes to hair loss so my goal is to save as many grafts as possible for the future.

Dr Maras also said I had a very good beard and could take 1,000 grafts or so in the future if need be.

At this stage I'm already very pleased with the results at the front even though I still have a few months of more growth possibly left. Considering sorting the back now at some point in future.
