PRP (Platlet Rich Plasma) Treatment

Anyone have this done or know if its effective?

Apparently the injections speed up recovery and process of growing hair after a transplant but cant seem to find anything on if it helps without having a transplant and just on its own.

Had it done when I had a FUT procedure with Dr Adair in Atlanta in September. No clue whether it helped or not as this was my first procedure. I had about 3000 grafts in my crown.
