Am I balding? Advice please - circa 4 year picture log

Hi all,

I have been conscious of my hair for around 4 years now and it's driving me insane. The reason it's driving me insane is because my loss is relatively subtle, compared to others, yet I'm convinced something is changing. The purpose of this thread I suppose is to figure out if a) I am balding or if b) my hairloss is just "naturally thinning" if that is even a thi ng? and if it is, will it eventually stbailise and stop.

I'm 90% convinced I am balding, and it is not a mature hairline / maturing thickness but we all know the mental shit storm this thing plays on us. Not only that, I'm in two minds of whether I should accept it or risk the sides of finasteride - but I am well aware of the fact that many on Finasteride hoped they started sooner. For background I am also Chinese so our individual hair strands are thicker with less density.

Over the years, I feel the shape has remained the same but i swear I'm getting thinner on the right hand side (left hand side in pictures as it's flipped) and generally all over on the hairline. Hair that falls out can be super thick but also super thin with tapered ends.

Please could you guys let me know, from an unbiased opinion, what you think this is on Norwood or even if it could pass as mature ?

For further information, I went to a Doctor around 4 years ago who said it was too early to tell but did say perhaps my right side is receding (but the shape has kinda stayed the same since )

My vertex is hard to tell as there is a double whorl in close proximity to each other so there's quite a bit of scalp and over the years it hasn't changed (or has it?)

I should also note that when I shed I find hairs that are thin and have a non cut end, as well as really thick ones that wouldn't count as thinning. I do however have these weird ones which are thick, but as you go to the bulb it thins then thickens and thins then thickens.

Anyways, this shit has driving me insane for around 4 years now and I have an unfortunately well documented photo gallery of this - bloody mental games!

These photos all have different light sources and camera phones unfortunately so quality may vary throughout

Is this borderline neurotic behaviour -.- or do I genuinely have something to worry about

I am really nervous about taking fin, because of potential sides, but wouldn't be against taking Niz which I accept has very little positive effect on its own. I'm even slightly nervous about Minoxidil.

I feel like I'm definitely in denial stage, but I really can't tell.

I also can't edit my initial post, but I have included some descriptions in the picture uploads for further information. eg in two of the current day photos, my whorl looks really bad but this is after very bad hat hair and bed hair.


I also forgot to mention that I am 27 years old.
