How long can I use Minoxidil if I start tomorrow without finasteride.

    Hello All,

I'm 23 years old now. I've been loosing a normal range of hair since 18. But, when I was 22, since last August, I've been loosing a lot of hair alot alot. People started noticing it. I came through Irestore laser therapy. I did not take any medicine inside neither their DHT blocking shampoo nor their serum. I just tried the laser cap but it does't seem to work. I've been using it since three months.

The reason I'm not taking any DHT blocking stuff is, I'm worried about the Libido(I don't want to fall under those 1% who get the side effects of it). Upon research, I found that Minoxidil reduces the DHT in hair follicles(correct me if I'm wrong). As we know, our body builds resistance to the regular dosage so we have to increase the dosage of it. similarly, I guess if we start using the Minoxidil x(minimum)% now. It might build the resistance to it and hair might not respond. Therefore, we have to increase the dosage right?

My question here is, How long(in years) can I use the minoxdil till it reaches the maximum dosage of it and I stop seeing results.

PS: I don't want to use finasteride at any point.

    Thank you in advance.

    Jesus,
Impossible to say as everyone responds differently. Not an exact science.
If you want me to pluck a number of the air as a guide id say 3-5 years.
