Default Need help/advise, serious libido loss on Duta at 10 months but significant regrowth

Hello all (Sorry for the long post),

I’ve been lurking at the forums for a long time now, but I desperately need help and advice so here is my first post. My hair loss journey goes like this: around the start of 2016 I noticed my hairloss and I was almost 18. It started to get noticeable around that time, however, I believe it started much earlier than that, perhaps around right before turning 17. Anyways, my hairloss kept getting worse and it is very aggressive. I’m not posting any pictures right now because I plan to post a very huge post with all my experiments and results since I’ve been taking picture almost every week and I have a huge collection with a lot of success actually (I hope to make that post after I see more results to make a conclusive argument).

Back to the story, my hair loss was manageable as no one really noticed it besides me until the start of 2018. My hair started to diffuse thin, I woke up one morning and I was running my hand through my hair and realized how thin it had gotten (happened in the span of 2 months, lost about 35% thickness). I practiced no fap for a while and during that time my hair actually maintained and in fact it was improving. So, from that I came to the conclusion I need to stop DHT. My hair was at it’s worst at around this time last year (mid 2018). I would classify myself as a norwood 2.5 – 3 at that time. Hair was diffuse thinning so much I became depressed. I was desperate and decided to get on Dutasteride skipping finasteride since I was so desperate to get results. No doctors would prescribe me duta so I hopped online and found Dr. Katz who works with wellnessmd and he prescribed me .5 mg daily for 6 months. I get my generic duta from giant pharmacy so I have no reason to think it’s not legit.

I took it for 6 months and I had about 2 major sheds which made me even more depressed (I’m really sorry I’m not posting any pics but I do have all the pics. I’m just waiting to make my official post). I experienced 0 to no sides at the end of 6 months with the exception of watery semen at first which went away pretty quick. Since I experienced no sides I decided to continue taking duta. Then about a month later the sheds stopped and I was maintaining pretty well. BUT, I started to experience serious loss of libido around the start of 2019. I was also having sex with a girl every weekend (about twice a week). I also want to note even though I’m on duta, I realized every time I ejaculated my hair started to thin and get worse (not too much unless i ejaculated often then it would get really bad). I was still depressed at the time.

Here is the part I need help from you all. Around the start of March 2019, I started to see significant regrowth at around 8 and a half months of taking duta (Hair thickness still hasn't really improved much) but my libido tanked to the point I basically had ED and couldn’t keep my penis hard enough to **** my girl. I went to see a doctor they told me to get off duta of course, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to since I’ve been seeing a lot of regrowth. My doctor found out from lab results I have a significant vitamin D deficiency and my testosterone levels were normal and in fact on the higher side. so I started to take supplements for that and also DIM (I saw on forums it helped people with erections) and I lowered the 0.5 daily dosage to every other day. After 2 weeks, I could maintain a hard enough erection to penetrate but it still wasn’t 100% erect (maybe about 75-80%). I don’t get morning woods now, I will sometimes but my penis is like 60% erect. Then eventually my girl broke up with me on April 12, 2019 and I was really heartbroken and depressed (still am a little bit but much better now). I should also note I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety by my doctor mid February, my doc gave me SSRI Ambien to take (I don't take it as I read it can lead to loss of libido). That’s only because I’ve seen my doctor after 2 years. I believe I’ve had depression and anxiety for about 8 months now.

Anyways, I’m really considering quitting Duta even though it’s been almost 11 months. I’ve seen tremendous regrowth and success in the past month and a half. But my libido is non existent. Although, currently I can get around 80% erection right now if I watch porn (very hard to keep my penis erect if I'm not touching it) but I do see my ex sometimes and my libido is higher when I’m with her. So what do you guys advise I should do? I just have a few questions if answered would help me make my decision. Do you guys think taking duta for this long even after getting the sides would leave a permanent effect on me? I'm mostly worried I won't be able to recover my libido ever again. I know it would take about 6 months of quitting duta to see if the sides go away or maybe sooner or later. How long do you guys think I will have until I lose my regrowths after quitting? Also, would getting back on Duta get my regrwoths back? I just started to take Meca supplements to see if that helps my libido. I really need help so thank you all in advance for even reading this far.

The mega supplements don't do anything so stop those. Once you stop dutasteride your libido will go back to normal and no permanent effects. I would reduce the amount of dutasteride you are taking. Currently i take 2 pills a week one on sunday and thursday and that seems to be enough. The vitamin D test is BS and you are fine. This is from a major study on vitamin D:

After reviewing the results of 25 vitamin D studies, the panel concluded that it isn’t helpful for most people to know their vitamin D level. For one thing, experts don’t agree on what low vitamin D means. Some laboratories define it as below 20 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL), others set it at below 50 ng/mL. In addition, tests for vitamin D aren’t standardized or reliable.

Perhaps most important, even if you have a “low” vitamin D level there’s scant evidence that taking a vitamin D supplement will do you any good—with one exception. People low in vitamin D who take a supplement may be less likely to fall. That makes sense, given that vitamin D plays a key role in keeping bones and muscles strong.

How much dutasteride are you taking?

If I stop Duta till the sides are gone I'm afraid that I'll lose my regrowth by then. After that, I'll have to start again and I know it takes a long time for duta to actually start kicking in and I'll go through the sheds and again and the whole process once again. I'm hoping I'm wrong about that.

I took 0.5 mg daily for about 9 months and then switched to EOD for about a month and a half now.

Most countries have already banned the sale of such energy drinks and I think this is the right decision. Firstly, such drinks are very harmful because of the ingredients that are in the composition. Secondly, it is best not to buy such drinks without a prescription in case of problems with an erection, consult a doctor. This is the best way. If the doctor who advised me to buy the best kamagra on the market could not, then I would still suffer from this problem with libido. So do not believe all the ads!
