What is meant by Minoxidil induced shedding ?

I was on Min 5% for the last few months, until this month after visiting a dermatologist I was prescribed Min 10%.

Within a weeks time I noticed my NW2 hairline receding a bit more, which completely caught me off guard.

I read some articles on the internet and have less than required information to enlighten me on the abomination that is hair loss induced by a product meant to fight hair loss.

Could someone help me on this matter
