Default I buzzed cut my hair a couple weeks ago and have questions

i noticed i could see more scalp in certain light but others a full head of hair. Is this due to the harsh light or am i thinning on top?

The first photo appears to have quite a bit of thinning, however the other photos only appear to show thinning near the crown area. Does your dad and both granddads have thinning hair? How thick is your moms and both grandma's hair?

My dad has a full head and my grandfather on his side has a bald spot. My mother and her side have full heads. My grandfather on her side was 40 when he started thinning

Normally I don't buzz it but i did this time and the pics were taken in the same room in different areas of lighting. When I grow it out I never notice it or have issues other than bed head. Also I used a electric beard trimmer with a hair guard on it and may have cut it wierd too

I'm no doctor but it sounds like you have nothing to worry about for many many years.

Hello, it is very hard to tell either way from these photos. You have genetics on your side, however be aware that you may have the beginnings of what is known as diffuse thinning. This is what I have, and I can tell you from experience that my hairline never moved a millimeter, however I thinned out all over on top. I am not trying to panic you, your crown and mid-scalp show minor signs of this (in certain pictures and under certain lighting). Just keep an eye on it, if it progresses you are in a good position to take action. all the best.
