Does Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy really work?

Platelet rich plasma therapy is a non-surgical procedure that uses natural growth factors in platelets to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles. These platelets contain growth factors that can help hair growth through increased healing and tissue regeneration. Individual results vary, and I typically offer PRP as an auxiliary treatment alongside other hair restoration procedures. Although definitive studies on the efficacy of PRP remain to be seen, there are clinical studies which contain many optimistic results. Many of my patients have reported decreased hair loss and increased density following PRP treatments.
