I have posted here before. My son was diagnosed with mpb in January this year with male pattern baldness. The derm said he could use rogaine or propecia 1 mg. My son was in shock and denial and didn't discuss much with dr. Now he's realizing he has mpb and doesn't want to lose his hair (I don't think anyone does). Anyway, is it really safe to put a barely 17 year-old on Propecia? Is Rogaine a better option? He has seb derm too and already using Nizoral 2x a week. @JoeTilman @pkipkling your input is appreciated as well.
Would you put your 17 year-old son on finasteride??

In my opinion a little too young. Try minoxidil and wiz 1 x a week.
It's tough i know but wait out getting onto a med such as finasteride so young and wait see how his hair responds to topicals first.
