Default Taking the HT plunge... maybe

Will try to keep this short and sweet! I’m 34 and have been losing my hair for a good 25 years. After a long, long time, I’ve finally started on fin and regaine, and had several meetings about transplants. Got a consultation with Dr Reddy in London in a couple of weeks to make a final decision. Been advised before that my doner area is ‘decent’ so big decision as not loads to work with. Pics here showing where I’m heavily receded, with 1800 grafts recommended to restore hairline. Wondering if anybody here has had a similar journey, decided to go with the HT... did it work out for you? Any regrets?Click image for larger version

Before you make any decisions please check my thread. If I were you, I'd save my money and just keep shaving it. As per my name.

Your case is definitely rather complicated. Aggressive loss that looks like it may advance, and it's been going on for decades. If I were you, I would get at least 3 different opinions of reputable IAHRS surgeons and have them fully evaluate you. You can then compare and contrast their different suggestions and see if there's a particular game plan that multiple surgeons agree upon. Whatever you do, don't rush into this. Keep researching, keep asking questions, and keep an open mind - as there's the possibility that "doing nothing" is the best thing for you to do.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My opinions/comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
