I have a facial scar that I would like to cover with a beard transplant. It is relatively short in length, maybe 0.3 inches long, and fairly narrow. Nevertheless, because of its location (surrounded by dense beard growth), it is fairly noticeable. It's visible even when I have a close shave, despite my pale skin. I would like to get it filled in, preferably with other beard hair but potentially with scalp hair. I've also been told by a general surgeon (not a HT specialist) that I might consider having a scar revision first and then filling it in afterwards so that it looks more natural even when I have a close shave.
1) Can anyone recommend any doctors with expertise in this kind of work (scar revision+beard transplant)? I am particularly interested in doctors practicing in the northeastern United States.
2) Have any of you had a similar procedure? Any advice?
Thanks,
Billy
