Thread: Almost 1 week post op - I have some questions...3300 grafts

I had a hair transplant in India about a week ago. 3300 grafts mainly from the back of my head and some from my beard under my jawline. Just wanted to know how my healing is doing? Also, when can I go back to th gym and wash my reciepient area? I have school in a few days and I’m trying to figure out how to conceal that I had the operation. Also when can I wear hats? Lastly, I have been taking finasteride 1.25 mg/day for the last 10 months. However the transplant surgeon stated that I only need to take it about twice a week. What are your thoughts? Thanks And picutures are attached. The donor areas look a little dry. Wondering if that’s a cause for concern.

I’m pushing 5 weeks post-op with a similar number of grafts. Did your doc give you any post-op instructions and meds? We all heal different so i’d say just stay in close contact with your clinic for any post-op advice.

Personally I started wearing a hat 2 weeks post-op but wore it really loose and only for short periods. I also started back at the gym at 2 weeks but found the redness in my recipient area would flare up afterwards so decided to give it a rest for another fortnight.

I think as long as you keep your head clean, eat well, stay hydrated and get plenty of sleep you’re gonna give yourself the best chance of success. I personally wouldn’t be messing with your fin doses either if you’re having success at your current dose. Good luck man!
