32 YA, Extremely rare localized thining. Ever heard of anything like this?
Hi everyone, Jay from Florida here. 32 years old.
Been on propecia since my teens (started to lose hair at 14) and added minoxidil two years ago when started to notice thinning on my temples.
The minoxidil worked great on the left temple after four months (textbook shedding, regrowth, etc) and now looks wonderful.
The right temple didn't grew a single hair back.
I've not stopped applying it twice a day but it's just driving me crazy because nothing works with that place. The rest of the head looks great but that place is just thinning and thinning.
ANY ideas and recommendations would be most welcome.

if it’s just localized, isolated patches, especially if they are circular, look into alopecia areata

Thank you Steve, but it is not. Just imagine one half of the head starts to react to minoxidil and regrow hair and the other continues thinning normally. That's my case.

Damn bro that’s a bummer sorry to hear it. Dunno what’s causing it but to counteract it you might try derma tolling just that side and/or upping your dosage
