    Default Propecia, 0.5mg

    I'm trying to avoid te sexual side effects and I was wondering if 0.5 finasterade a day would be enough to make a difference. I am 28 and a nw3.

    From what I've read .5 mg is effective but just not as much. However, if your gonna get sides you will get them either way it may just take longer to manifest at .5mg. Let us know if you try it as I have been considering .5mg myself.

    If I will get the sides regardless, then why not do 1mg? Are you sure that's true though? I remember reading about a guy on another forum that lowered his dose to avoid sexual sides and did so successfully.?

    i just reduced my dose to .5 on the 3rd of this month. i started propecia in early december. shed really bad until april and then saw some improvement until i started wellbutrin in may - by the end of june i was shedding again. i also at this time realized the side effects were something i couldnt live with at the full dose so early this month is when i cut the propecia dose in half. im shedding like crazy and my hair looks worse. not sure if its the wellbutrin or the decreased dose. i weaned off wellbutrin so i guess only time will tell.

    so 0.5mg does make a lot of difference?
