Default Male, 27 years old, looking for advice on finding a good hair transplant surgeon.

I am from the U.K. and for the past year I have been taking finasteride (with little to no results). I will continue to keep taking it to hopefully prevent any further hair loss.

I've always had a high forehead, as soon as I hit puberty started developing a receding hairline. In my early twenties noticed my temples were starting to recede. In mid twenties noticed my hairline had moved back a bit and starting to thin.

Ever since I was a teenager I've worn my hair in a slightly longer style, combed forward with the fringe/bangs to cover the loss.

Anyway, I've started doing some research into hair transplant clinics. Ideally I'd like to stay within the U.K. primarily England. One option is The Wimpole Clinic in London, but I'm undecided yet. I'd like to get something done this year.

As for my norwood scale, I'm probably a 3 at the front, although no loss at the crown yet. I'd like to get about 1500/2000 grafts to bring the hairline forward a bit and disguise the receding hairline and temples, and to build some density.

I'd rather go for FUT as I wear my hair long and don't mind a linear scar, and it's cheaper.

I'd appreciate any suggestions or advice to help guide my decision. Thank you very much for taking the time to read.

Hi Mike, I'm from the UK although living in Hong Kong. I haven't been in the game for 2 years so things may have changed, but from what I remember, the best advice is not to go anywhere other than the US / Canada. There are roughly 5 world-renowned surgeons (well documented on this forum) and I'd just stick to those. They aren't that different in price and it's too important a decision to get anything other than the best treatment. I went to Rahal in Canada and personally I'll never go elsewhere.
