Zero to worry about at this stage.

Some people just have swirl type crowns. Chances are it has always been like that and you've only just noticed.

Just check it out every few months, but don't obsess, I'd say you're fine.

Appreciate your reply, man. Might seem like a silly question, but I feel like I can feel that area more. Do you think this is just a consequence of my increased focus on it if it's not actually thinning?

You seem to have thick hair and what you are alluding to looks like nothing to worry about. Simply how the crown grows. I'd continue to monitor it on a monthly basis and if you notice the situation worsening start taking propecia.

If you have seen no change over the last few years and the men on your mother's side have hair then this looks like nothing to worry about at all.

You can use minox if you're concerned-- a spray on the crown before bedtime should do it. I would not use anything else at this point until you have direct evidence of thinning.

Watch and monitor at this point.

I honestly can't tell at this point if you have thinning in the crown-- lot's of people show a little scalp at the crown where the hair swirls at the vertex.

It's odd. When I wake up in the morning, I typically find like 8-12 hairs on my pillow,
but if I continue to lie in bed for another few hours I might see another dozen fall out. What's this mean?
