Transplants vs. Meds

So many people (including me) are so concerned about loosing hair why are meds an option if they only stop the progression. Seems like for the money you could pay payments on a transplant. They are about $10K right? On then other hand, if you transplant 25% of your good hair into a MPB on the crown that has 50% hair and you loose the rest of your hair you are left with a patch of 25% hair. At least if you lost it all it would be uniform, right. What ever the method, I want what elton john had done, went from a cue ball to a thick carpet.
