Default 18 year old on propecia needing advice.

Hello everybody.. I'm an 18 year old asian. My father is 56 who is probably a norwood 4. He has 4 brothers and not every single one is bald. Overall, the history of balding in my family is quite bad. My dad started thinning at about 26~27. My brother on the other hand has no sign of balding yet and has a full thick head of hair.

I'm currently on my 2.5month on propecia. But however i'm experiencing an increase of scalp pimples on the side of my scalp. I'm extremely worried because i've read a few articles regarding Reflex Hyperandrogenicity saying how propecia could lead to increased scalp pimples, oily skin and increased body hair and eventually increased hair loss.

I'm extremely worried about this. Can anyone give me any advice?? =(

    Hi,

    Welcome to the site.

The first thing I would say is to be patient, this is a forum for men in the same boat of hairloss but should not be regarded as a substitute for medical advice by a suitably qualified professional.

While I can share my own story and experience I cannot give you medical advice and especially not from a forum post.

If you are extremely worried then my advice would be to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

    Thanks,

    Hi
I would like to share my experience. Believe in Rogaine. Try rogaine 2 times a day. It really worked for me. It works not only on vertex but also in temporal and it will prevent from thinning of the hair. but you have to wait until 1 month to get a result. This is my experience and if you have any question, feel free to contact my email..mw.mw.2000@gmail.com.
    Thanks
