Should I start with hair transplant or minoxidil?

Hey all... This is not exactly a fair question because I don't have the 10k for a hair transplant.
But I am now thinking of starting minoxidil and began to think about this, is it better to just have a hair transplant? What do you think? If money was not a problem, would you just start with a hair transplant and be done with it? Genuinely curious.
