Minoxidil Shed on non-treated areas?
Hi all.
I started using topical minoxidil about 4 weeks ago to see if I could get my hairline to come back a little. I only treated areas where there was little to no hair, but now my hair seems to be thinning behind the hair line. Could the minoxidil be causing shedding on non treated areas if they're close by?

Hello, yes this seems possible as the minoxidil will be absorbed in the blood stream. Also, when you start a hair loss treatment (well in my case) I became super sensitive to noticing any kind of hair loss, regardless as to where it was coming from on my head. Thinking to myself has that bit always been that like that? has it changed, is it looking different etc...

Thanks for replying, Diffuse. This does ease my mind a little, but it would be even better if there was some empirical data / medical precedent to support that.
