27 years old, unsure if balding.

I’m about to be 27 years old and these are some photos I found from this week of my hair. I know the photos aren’t great, but hopefully you get the idea. I’m the photos where I’m showing just my hairline, I’m pulling back pretty tight.

Some background - my dad is bald and wears a hair piece. He gets it professionally done every other month and people literally can’t even tell. He went fully bald in his early 20’s. I have no brothers. On my mothers side, her father died young but with a full head of hair. She has 2 brothers - 1 is bald 1 has a ton of hair.

I’m going for a Jason momoa / rock and roll - esque sort of natural don’t care flow. I’ve been growing my hair out for about a year from a buzz cut. When my hair is down it’s really not noticeble, but I’m extremely self conscious about my hairline around the temple area. My hair stylist says it may just be a high hairline, and to keep an eye on it. Over this past year I haven’t noticed any difference, and I don’t notice any thinning or less hair anywhere else on my head. Do I continue to grow my hair out? Do you think this looks like I’m starting to lose my hair or go bald? How long do you think this process can take? Is it worth going for the look or should I count my losses and cut my hair and go for a shorter look?
