How are already thinned hair affected by fin?

Recently, about 2 months ago I've started taking finasteride 1mg. I'm 19 and my hair started receiding on one side when I was 15-16. Now I can notice thinning hair on both sides that don't grow full length and I'd like to know how does finasteride affect those hair. Do they stay the same, continue to miniaturize or does the miniaturization reverse?

I know it doesn't work the same for everyone but I'd like to hear how was it from your experiences so I know what to expect.

I have seen cases (albeit on the internet) of people who have significantly reversed miniaturisation taking fin alone. You're right, it seems to affect everyone differently, however I am in no doubt that miniaturisation to some degree is reversible by fin alone. I think that by removing DHT from the scalp, miniaturization is reversible once a healthy growth environment has been established for the hair. If it is going to happen I think it takes a long time over many hair cycles.
