    What to do?

I have been on Propecia and found that it hurt my sex drive so I stopped. Now I am thinning more and need to do something about it. Is there a medicine out yet that would help me?

No unfortunately. I think you're better off without Propecia. Personally I think Propecia cause hair loss. Try to get a creative hair cut. Or go the shaving route like many tell you you're supposed to.

      Maybe try a smaller dosage, 0.5 or 0.25 a day. Or 1g every 2 or 3 days.

I agree with Diffuse33. I was in a similar situation and opted to stop taking it altogether as well. However, since then, I've been very diligent about keeping an eye on my crown, and it does appear that the loss may be increasing.

I spoke to my surgeon about it just last week and he really encouraged me to get back on it and try a smaller dosage and to spread it out more. Talk to your doctor about different things you can try so that it doesn't have to be "all or nothing" when it comes to the medication and your MPB.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My opinions/comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
