Hair loss from donor area

I have been make hiar transplantation operation since one year and the result was good and now notice the loss of the original hair from the donor area and the received area, to the extent that it kept places free of hair is similar to alopecia Is this normal and what treatment and is hair regrow again

Surgeon says this is shockloss and will regrow in 6 months
