FUE Without Shaving Entire Head
Hi. I'm a professional interested in undergoing FUE but am looking for a surgeon who can perform it without shaving the entire head (either donor or recipient sites).
I am a Norwood 4/5 and have been told I need 3500 grafts for full scalp coverage.
Can someone provide some guidance on if this type of FUE is possible and who is the best surgeon in the US (preferably East coast) that can do this?
Thank you

While this is something that some surgeons offer, it's really on a case by case basis, as a lot of different factors will go into play. The fact that you need 3500 grafts makes this seem less likely for you, as doing a non-shave FUE can be very time-consuming and is typically reserved for smaller procedures. Unless you were able to split up the procedure over the course of several days, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing this. For this reason, it will also be considerably more expensive which is something to consider. Dr. Mohebi does something called a "Celebrity FUE", but like I mentioned before is more ideal for patients who don't need as many grafts as you need.
Is there any way you can schedule the procedure around a vacation and give yourself a couple of weeks to recuperate?
I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My opinions/comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
