MPB, stress or something else ? See pics
Hi all,
I'm 51 years old and suffered a trauma 14 months ago, the passing of my wife....several months after her passing I noticed hair line changes, thinning of the shaft and texture changes, very dry itchy scalp and hair on my hands (20/30 strands)when washing. My family members on dads side have MPB, good hair on moms side. I saw a derm for a skin check up months and asked about hair, he said yea it looks like mpb and start rogaine and gave a prescription for shampoo, now on head and shoulders , but seems it's super dry. I started rog. for a few weeks and it seemed as the scalp itch was worse And scalp got got RED/burned and really irritated from rite aid brand Rogaine . I can live happily with what I have left but don't want anymore loss.
It's my thought that the trauma started , although I'm new at this??? Saw a hair doc last week he wants a biopsy of the scalp and didn’t think it was MPB confused:
My side burns and one eyebrow thinned several months ago and came back sideburn on left is thinning again.
What do I do? Different Rogaine, propecia
Lastly any good hair doc suggestions In San Diego ?
Thank you
Stressed about this

Who was the hair DR.? Why didn't he put you on propecia? It just doesn't look like MPB to me from these pictures. At 51 it looks pretty good.
