Regretfully had a HT at a young age now left with a terrible scar from ear to ear. Thankfully it's mostly thin at 1mm. Anyway, ive been cutting my hair shorter and shorter.
I'm at a #1 guard now. The scar itself is more visible with the short length, but I feel it blends more, less of a contrast. Might test zero guard when I have more time off work. People ask me about my scar more now, I usually just tell them the truth, no one really cares.
I have a consultation for vbeam(pulse dye laser) next month- the scar has slight pinkness on its edges, hoping to improve this. The scar itself is mostly hypopigmented(white color). After that I was going to try a couple sessions with Fraxel. Maybe SMP down the road. Not easy with FUE into the scar as I don't want more scarring or complication here, plus with the buzzed look not sure how much it would help.
Any advice or similar shared experiences?
